Hi there everyone! Any recommendations for clubbing in Phuket?
It’s my 1st time there & will be staying at the Holiday Inn. Have plans to go Phi Phi Island for a day. Any other suggestions what I can do during my 4 days stay? Friends have told me to give Phuket Town a miss. Anywhere that I can go & do a little shopping – cheap stuff. Would also appreciate if you can tell me of a few places to eat. Thks & have a great day!
hi. i agree with your friend about giving the Town a miss. I might recommend that you stay on Kata Beach, it a great beach with a few good bars and shops. Patong is a lot more crowded and can be a bit seedy. I would give it a go for an overnighter, it’s about 20 minutes from Kata. There is plenty of shopping along the street that lines the beach. At night Tiger Bar is the most popular amongst tourist and locals. It’s on the famous Bangla road where you can do a lot of nighttime people watching. for restaurants, Baan Rim Pa at the north end of Patong is fantastic (for views as much as food) but a little pricey, and Savoy Seafood house in the center of town with all the fresh seafood on display is great.
Also, for a cheap thrill, parasailing (you’ll see signs all over the beach) is a lot of fun, especially at sunset time. Don’t be alarmed if your instructor has a spliff in one hand and a beer in the other. I’ve spent many days on that beach and have never seen a mishap!
