Going to Thailand for new years and january? do we book accommodation?
Planning on going to Thailand for new years and stay for around 3 weeks. We are definitely going to book our full moon party accommodation well in advanced, and our flights however we have been told to not book accommodation until we are there as it can be a lot cheaper even though its peak season. We are going to try and avoid staying in Bangkok and probably only go to phuket for 3 days. We plan to go to Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Krabi and not sure where else. Do you suggest that we book accommodation through agent, or maybe book our first nights accommodation and try bargain for the rest?
Also, any other suggestions for places to go in or around thailand?

I am trying to avoid Bangkok as I have been to bangkok before and didn’t really like it so have no interest in going there again. Of course, if it is easier to stay in Bangkok for one night due to flights then I will, just going to try plan around not staying there.
Just book by yourself using online booking.
Because you will go during very peak season, I suggest you book all of the accomodations in advance.
