Songkran Festival suggestions?
My husband and I will be in Thailand for Songkran (in the Phuket and Khao Lak areas). Does anyone have suggestions for us as far as what to see…special foods…precautions?

It will a period of festivity in Thailand then. You will get caught in the joyous mood with practically the whole country celebrating, and getting wet is just one of the ways of getting blessed on this occassion.
You can look for the places to visit in the places you are heading to at http://www.tourismthailand.org and work out what you like. As for food, these places will be good for seafood, fresh off the nearby waters. Enjoy them.
Precautions? None. Just immerse yourself in the fun. Arm yourself with a smile.
