There are tons of great options for food in the Patong area of Phuket (this is where you will find the greatest variety of food on the island, with everything from Thai to Japanese to Mexican).
Savoey, located in Patong near Bangla road, has excellent Thai food.
White Box is an upscale fusion restaurant
The Hard Rock Hotel recently opened in Patong (if you want “Western” food).
Recommended things to do in Phuket:
Go to Phi Phi for a day trip (you will also find a number of other trips to other islands around Phuket).
Phuket Fantasea and Simon Cabaret are fun shows.
Take a trip to Phang Nga Bay
Shopping in Phuket:
JungCeylon is in Patong (big mall).
Central Festival and Tesco Lotus are other main malls
Nightlife:
Most of the nightlife is centered on Soi Bangla in Patong. You will also find smaller pockets of nightlife in Kata, Karon, Kamala & Surin (Kamala and Surin are really limited in this capacity).
