Phuket Hotel Prices

phuket hotel prices
Phuket, Thailand- is it better to be all inclusive or b&b?

are there enough restaurants that are reasonably priced? or is all-inclusive better value

the difference between all inclusive and bb is about £500 extra a person for 2 weeks

if you have been and can recommend hotels or restaurants too that would be great!

thank you xx

Do it yourself.

If you like Thai food a great deal, a Thai restaurant or vendor would generally cost 35-80 baht per item ordered (a little more in a hotel). You’re looking at approximately 1-2 USD in this situation per item ordered…

If you want western food, the prices for a meal will generally range between 60-120 baht per item ordered (depending on where you eat, of course). You would be looking at 2-3 USD per item ordered in this situation…

You have TONS of restaurants in areas like Patong, which means you can eat pretty much any kind of cuisine you would like to eat (Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc.) for a reasonable price.

One thousand pounds for two people seems quite excessive, unless you’re eating at only 5-star restaurants and resorts in Phuket.

Hotels:
Depends on your flavor. If you want to relax away from the crowds, take a look at Nai Yang or Nai Thon beaches as options to Patong beach. If you want great beaches, without the same amount of crowds as Patong, you would want to look at Kata, Surin or Karon. You can find some options here for hotels in Phuket: http://www.hoteltravel.com/thailand/phuket/hotels.htm

Note: Giving a specific recommendation about hotels is difficult without knowing the price you want to pay for night. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels that are $100USD + per night that were awesome, but you can still find very solid 3-4 star hotels that are considerably less & quite nice.
