What to see and what to do on Thailand islands at the south?
I heard that the most popular islands are phuket, krabi, similan islands, phan nga… is there more? And what activities are and which island is the best for that activities: diving, caves, panorama views, nightlife, canoeing….. etc
Hi, there sure are plenty of islands in the south. If you are keen on visiting every one of them, cater a couple of weeks to do so. On the west coast where Phuket, Krabi, Phangna are, plenty of big and small islands abound, with good dive spot around Phuket and Similan. On the east coast, alongside the bigger Ko Samui and Phangnan, there are other smaller island resorts too.
At Phuket is where you get the major water activities. Even to Krabi or Phangna. So that is sort of origin for activities in the area. There are quite scenic places around there, at the various islands like Lipe as someone mentions, Ko Tao, Ko Yao, Ko Lanta etc etc. So you can find new things to do and explore when you are there.
