Best Phuket beaches for family?
What are the best beaches for a family with tweens? We don´t want to be totally isolated, but don´t really need the bars. We will already be staying at the Marriott in the north for four days so looking for another spot closer to where there are activities and excursions. Karon? Kata? Any recommended hotels?
Is the ocean swimming really dangerous in July?

It’s surely Kata in your case and as Dude wrote, the Katathani is a lovely resort. Kata is also well located for small excursions eg to nearby islands, they have the “Dino” Park for small and big kids,lol and also Phuket Zoo is not far. It’s a small Zoo but you can have your photo’s taken with almost any animal they have incl. Tigers,snakes,monkeys etc. and they have shows every day. With the Marriott you also made a good choice. Pls avoid Patong especially with children. Full of Bars, noisy and many drunks,sorry. Swimming can be dangerous in July at Karon beach.
