I can’t tell you tha exact addresses but I can tell you what to tell the taxi driver since most of Phuket is only accessible through taxis.
Weekend market in Phuket Town – “Thai Rote” opens evening every Saturday and Sunday. It’s near Central Festival, the main shopping centre in Phuket. From the cross-junction in front of Central Festival, take the road that goes to Chalong.
Shopping Centres
- Central Festival for international shopping (near the outskirt of Phuket Town, going towards Kathu)
- Ocean Robinson right smack in the middle of Phuket Town. Just tell the driver Ocean Robinson, Phuket Town, he will know. Cinema here as well. Good local shopping for clothes. Nearby is a open-air food street,great food. And within walking distance is “Expo”, very good for women’ clothing, an entire street of shopping.
-Jungceylon recently opened at Patong Beach. It’s going to be the biggest shopping area in Phuket but it’s only halfway opened, so not too many shops yet.
Beachwear – Go to Patong Beach. It’s shops shops shops everywhere. There is a place called “Bazaar” behind Holiday Inn hotel, away from the side of the beach, on the second street. Lots of shopping in the street in front of Royal Paradise hotel as well.
