where is the best beach in bali?
the most picture perfect, cleanest, white sand blue water beach, preferably as similar to koh samui or phi phi islands in Thailand as possible. ones with palm trees like koh samui. i havent been to bali before, so a little advise would be good on beaches.
i would also prefer a cleaner beach than patong in phuket as it was hard to swimthere due to rubbish.

There are lots of great beachs in Bali. But what you are talking about reminds me of a small island off the coast of Lombok. Actually a group of islands called the Gilis. Gili G has the best beachs and the fewest people. You can still find a nice place to stay, get a good meal and a good drink but the beach’s are legendary. Easy to get to by fast boat. Ask anyone in Kuta/Legian and they will set you up.
closer in there are so many places that I don’t really have a favorite. Kuta itself is a mad house with lots of people but a really nice beach anyway. Nusa Dua has lots of the big hotels and miles of beach. Out on the point there are the surfing beachs of Uluwatu and Padang. Uluwatu has no real beach. Just cliffs to the water. But Padang has a nice sand beach.

Blue lagoon at Padang Bai has more of a rocky beach but the snorkeling and diving is tremendous and not many people here. Two small cafes on the beach provide lounges, food, drinks and diving equiptment. one of my favorite places period.
But what you described has Gili G down to a T. Give it a shot.
