Going toThailand on holiday?

Hi All.
I am very stressed about the Thailand problems:

We flying to Thailand next Friday for two weeks holiday which is 80% paid for through Agoda, internal flights via Thai air and Etihad airways to get to Bangkok…

I have just cancelled our one day stay in Bangkok to get away from it however will be using the airport to arrive, then fly to Chai Mai (for 3 days and spend time with Elephants), then to Phuket to spend 6 days on Islands…

Can anyone get me some internal news? I mean, this should be a holiday and not time to get shot!!!!

Will really appreciate your advise.
we have rented a car in Bangok to go to Kanchanaburi for 4 days so we will be out of the airport in Bangkok…

OMG have no idea what to do, Thailand is such a beautiful place and I see my two weeks dream shatterrrrr…. I hope I can get more answers/feedback

I have friends staying in Thailand right now and although the situation is still hot the RedShirts announced that they won’t even get near Bangkok international airport to protect and respect tourism.

So if you are going to Chiang Mai and Phukhet you won’t have to go outside airport. Just take the next flight to your destination. Chiang Mai is 6-8 hours by bus and Phukhet 5-6 hours by bus, its a long way for both destinations. Flying there is not the cheapest but its the fastest. So take your pick.

Btw, I’m going to Thailand too in 2 weeks with Gulf Air. I think there is nothing to worry about as long as you don’t go looking for trouble when there is none.
