How is Phuket (in Thailand) after the Tsunami disaster?
I’ve been to Bangkok many times and Phuket once about a year before the Tsunami hit… I loved every minute of the trip and cried when i heard the Tsunami hit because it was so beautiful, and the people were so wonderful, and then all was destroyed. I’ve heard the tourism in Phuket is even better now than before?? Is that true?? Has anyone been lately??

It’s fabulous! I was down there only 3 months after the tsunami, and other than the fact that there were NO tourists, you would never have guessed there had been a tsunami.
I’ve been three times since (I live in Bangkok) and love it every time. It’s now back to normal – just like it always was. So, if you’re thinking of coming back to Thailand, don’t hesitate – it’s safe, and everyone is as nice as they always were
